New York, I Love You is a lovely compilation of short films done by 11 different directors in New York City in the same style reminiscent of Paris, Je T'aime (Paris, I Love You). The idea is that different directors do a different take on love in this particular city and this one is particularly fun to watch if you are a New Yorker because you can identify with all of the various locations and unique scenery. There are so many great stars in this movie that I think I am the only person that is actually not in it! Ha ha. The brilliant cast includes Bradley Cooper, Andy Garcia, Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, Ethan Hawke, Julie Christie, Eli Wallach, Cloris Leachman: I could go on and on. Each miniature film has its own special quality and feel and helps to create an original mosaic lens in which to view this great city. So four stars for New York, I Love You.
