Inception is the latest from Leonardo DiCaprio. He plays Dom Cobb, a thief of the art of extracting -- stealing secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is the most vulnerable. This is by Christopher Nolan, who has done Memento, and the Dark Knight. So he has a feel for dark material. I liked this movie a lot. It's a terrific cast, including Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Marian Cottillard and Ellen Page, whom I think is the only one who's truly miscast in this. I think she's too young and too light weight. Cillian Murphy from Batman Returns as well as Leopold and Loeb as well as Tom Berringer, who is nearly unrecognizable but adorable. I liked this movie a lot, and I think you will too. It's two hours and 28 minutes and you really do have to pay attention. The music from Hans Zimmer was a bit over the top, but on the other hand, it's fun to be there. It's certainly different. It's an unusual kind of movie and my guess is that you'll probably be as entranced as I was. Four stars.
