This is a tough one to review, folks. I had seen the original several years ago which was at a larger venue. Get it, larger venue? No, this is not a pun. Everything in this review will probably sound like a double entendre. These are not the original guys, who were both Australian, fairly pasty, not in very good shape, and came out with short capes and tennis shoes and nothing else. These guys come out in long capes, -- much younger, much better shape, at least a spray on tan -- no tan lines -- but it's the same general stuff. I don't remember, fortunately, all the installations, as they call them. This one is at 45 Bleecker Street, which is a much smaller, much grungier venue, where drinks are not only served but encouraged, and there's a lot more audience participation. Believe it or not, some little old lady who's name was Ruth, which is my mom's name and was about the same age as her, was asked to come up on stage and put her arm up like the Statue of Liberty, at which point one of the guys did a handstand so that his butt was basically at the same level as her face. A little alarming. I thought she was going to have a heart attack, I truly did. Meanwhile another one of the guys is running around the audience and plopping down on people's laps. So this one is sweatier, grungier. But just as silly. What is really surprising is that two thirds of the audience were men and most of them had dates. Apparently, although it didn't happen the night I was there, supposedly the night before, a couple of amateurs came down to learn how to do this on stage as well. How can I review this in theatre? It’s basically raunch. The night I was there they have three women who alternate as the guest comedians who also do smutty stuff. Amy Schumer, apparently has got a TV show in the fall, who has great comic timing, and believe it or not, seemed most comfortable when she wasn't doing smutty material, was there. This is -- I supposed if you're drunk enough, you're going to view it as theater, if you're not, you're going to view it as kind of high school wee-wee jokes. It's amazing what people will do with their own bodies. I give it two stars, what the heck.
